Sittercity is not only the easiest way to find the sitters you need, it is also the least expensive. Joining costs $39.99 for the first month and just $5 a month after that. Monthly fees are billed automatically to your credit card. Your account can be canceled at any time once you find the sitters you need.
Sittercity charges no additional fees when you use a sitter you found on the site. Rates vary according to region, but sitters choose their own rates and generally charge $10-15 an hour for a job. Sitters offer petsitting, housesitting, newborn care, elder care, and miscellaneous housework in addition to babysitting.
How do I screen sitters:
Part of the reason why Sittercity is so inexpensive is because it is just a venue for parents to connect with sitters. They do not do scheduling, background checks, or screening, but they make it easy for you to check the quality of your sitter.
