Good In 2007, Tue 6 Feb 2007
I have been to Pink Dolly twice in the last week (my first two times to the store). I found great baby gifts - brand new beautiful clothes at used clothing prices (had tags on). Also bought brand new baby toys and photo album. Gifts went over great and the young woman waiting on me even took tags off and wrapped everything as I was heading out to the party. Tonight I made my niece's week by buying a beautiful Laura Ashley red velveteen dress for valentine's day (she's four and likes twirly dresses)....Cost $21; little girl's reaction: priceless. So, don't know about past but seems pretty good in 2007.
Lousy Service, Wed 15 Nov 2006
I'm sorry to have to agree with the previous comment. I was also frustrated by the poor service I received - and I never even got into the store this time. After I read the negative comments below, I took the precaution of calling ahead, thinking I'd avoid any hassles this way. Wrong! I called just after 10:00am, when the store is supposed to open, and nobody answered until almost 10:30AM (that right there should have warn me away). The woman I talked to said I had to make an appointment to bring my clothes in for resale..... but she refused to make an appointment for me!?! She said I had to call back at 2:00pm that afternoon and talk to the owner for that privilege. Okay.... Should I have been surprised that the owner wasn't there when I called back at 2pm? When I eventually got the owner at 2:30, I told her I had clothes to sell and wanted to make an appointment. It was only after she gave me a long litany of what kinds of clothes were acceptable, and what clothes were not, what brands she didn't like and blah blah blah, and after I asked AGAIN to make an appointment, that she finally saw fit to inform me - in as snooty a manner as possible - that SHE IS NOT TAKING ANY MORE SALES OF CLOTHING UNTIL THE END OF JANUARY!!!!!!! Sorry for the long rant but I spent half the day waiting for NO GOOD REASON, when the first person I called could have just done me the courtesy of telling me what I needed to know. Is it any wonder everyone can't stand the place when they are treated so rudely?!
Went Twice This September, Tue 3 Oct 2006
ehhh...I wouldn't quite listen to the post made by the owner below...while it is true I haven't seen the employee every reviewer was referring to in a while, they've hired a similar one...I was in 2 weeks ago to find the store wide open with no employees there. 5 minutes pass and the girl comes back...she checks the store and says to me, 'I'm going to leave again for a sec'...um ok... I had to WAIT for her to come back to ring me up. I should have just left the $10 on the counter, not worrying about whether or not it ever even got to them. Went back the other day and the owner was there with a bunch of her friends and a few unruly children they were squacking away like hens...Yelling and laughing, one of their kids came over and woke up my sleeping son because they weren't watching him...Oh I could go on... That being said, the store does NOT focus on children's resale. Over 75% of it is new women's clothes. There were like 7 pairs of shoes for kids that's it, The sections that used to be organized and somewhat of a broad selection are tiny and jumbled together. I'd say there were like 12-15 items in the 2T section. So with rude employees and very minimal inventory, this is not worth the drive unless you live in Arlington Center! Sorry to have to write this, but it's true.
Great Store, Thu 18 May 2006
I found a lot of great clothes for babies, in perfect shape, at very low prices. The owner is delightful and I will definitely go back regularly to check for new inventory. Very easy to get to and to park.
Visit The New Pink Dolly, Sat 11 Mar 2006
Thank you to the nice customer that let us know about a few of the less than stellar reviews we received on this web site. Sometimes the owners are the last to know! The employee that was mentioned in the emails no longer works at Pink Dolly, we are so sorry if anyone had a bad experience! We are two working mons with little kids that sometimes have to rely on others. We made a bad choice. Please give us a second chance! Please note that we have just remodeled Pink Dolly and are excited to bring you better brands and a finer selection. Come check us out again. Keri & Cari
Lots Of High End Clothes, Thu 9 Feb 2006

You Get Very Little For Your Clothes And The Staff Are Rude, Sun 16 Oct 2005
I took in several items for resale and was given so little that I have decided to never sell my stuff there again. i will go to the Children's orchard where I can get a store credit and more for your merchandise. Also the girl who waited on me seemed annoyed with me and never thanked me when I left.
Good Prices And Selection, Thu 8 Sep 2005
My husband and I were looking for fall clothes for our newborn daughter and found lined overalls ($3) and a fleece-lined snowsuit with a hood and toggle buttons ($15). Nice people and a great selection.
Great Selection, Fri 22 Jul 2005
Great selection of clothing for ages 2 and 3. I got some great stuff here and some great Robeez shoes as well. My daughter never wants to take them off!
Selling Your Clothes, Mon 20 Jun 2005
I did recommend this store prior to this exchange but would never ever recommend in the future. When I made my appointment told sales associate specifically what type and size I would be bringing in. When I arrived at my appointment the same sales associate greeted me less than cordially almost annoyed that I had arrived a few minutes early. Also, she remained on her cell phone all while picking apart my clothing speaking another language and never looking at me except to tell me that they rarely took clothes that size, as they are not in demand. Why I was not told that they normally do not do this when I made the appointment, I will never know. She then took sets apart to buy only as separates. My first reaction should have been to walk away but I just thought that would be rude. Again I know that I should have spoken up, I left feeling used. I should have spoken up but was completely disenchanted with the whole experience of ever selling anything to a resale shop again.
