Singing Beach is one of North Shore's most popular beaches and includes a beautiful sandy beach, restrooms and a nice concession stand. Resident Sticker parking only. Has lifeguards on duty from Memorial Day to Labor Day. While there, stop at Captain Dusty's for ice cream sandwiches. They're the best! The perfect combination of sand, water, scene and seclusion make this beach a gem seldom found. Overall, this is a very relaxing and soothing place. Great for walking and collecting shells, jumping in the waves, or just sitting in the soft sand to watch the surf.
Singing Beach is owned, maintained, & operated by the Town of Manchester-by-the-Sea, and is open to the general public. All persons, residents & non-residents, are charged on an equal basis according to the access fee schedule listed below. Fee access was established by Town Meeting (1991) and was set by the Board of Selectmen.
Parking
Parking is limited and can be a hassle. $20 at the train station and nearby Boy Scouts lot. Public transportation eliminates this quandary, although prepare for about a 15 minute walk from the rail station.

Wonderful!, Sun 8 Jul 2007
This beach is wonderful. Cleanest, nicest beach I've found so far. It is not a bad walk from the shopping center by the train station - wide, safe side walks and friendly people around too. I've parked at the train twice and haven't paid any fee. So nice, i go all the time.
Won't Leave You Singing, Thu 7 Jun 2007
I have 3 small children and so I parked in the lot by the beach (resident sticker only) because there were only 2 cars there and when we returned an hour later we were the only car-and there was my Ticket. It's a cool Wednesday 4:00pm, no one around, except of course me and the cop car. Be forewarned, they have NO MERCY. Better to pay for Crane Beach than to pay the violation ticket and leave feeling unwelcome. I can't park at the train station and make the 15 minute walk along that pretty road with 3 small children (I feel like a car will swerve and hit us.)
