Music Together is committed to helping families rediscover the pleasure and educational value of informal music experiences. Internationally recognized, Music Together has been a curriculum pioneer since 1987 and continually applies the latest research in early childhood music development to the program.
The Music Together curriculum is based on research that demonstrates that given a friendly, stimulating musical environment, all children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate with confidence in the music of our culture.
MT classes are mixed age: Birth to 5 years old. Child development researchers recommend mixed-age groupings because they foster natural, family-style learning. It's great because the whole family can come together!
We introduce children to the joys of making music instead of passively receiving it from CDs, radio, or television.
Young children instinctively respond to and imitate their loved ones. The active participation of parents and caregivers – regardless of their musical ability – is thus an essential part of the rich musical environment we create.
And it’s fun! Children learn best through play, so we make sure to foster an enjoyable, easy atmosphere where adults can relax as they play musically with their children. Come Sing, Dance, Laugh & Learn with us!
Ten weekly, 45-minute classes include songs, rhythmic rhymes, movement, and instrument play. These activities are presented as fun and informal --developmentally appropriate for children and easy for parents and caregivers--regardless of their own musical ability. This is a non-performance orientated program which emphasizes the learning process, rather than the product.
We offer unlimited make-up classes & free older sibling visits. Baby siblings under 9 months attend free.
Class size is limited to 12 students but adult family members are all welcome - parents, grandparents, nannies etc. We are truly about families making music 'together'!
UKULELE LESSONS

A Songbook and 2 CDs are included so you can continue the musical experiences at home!
