Valentine's Weekend Family Ice Cream Social

Families are invited to celebrate Valentines Day with ice cream, music,crafts and more, while supporting the Medford Family Network! On February 12 the Friends of the Medford Family Network will host its Valentines FUNraiser Ice Cream Social, including the 2nd Annual Medford Student Art Showcase. Escape the winter doldrums with an afternoon of family fun! Sponsored by Chilly Cow of Arlington,the Valentines FUNraiser includes: * Frozen Custard and Sorbet Sundaes from Chilly Cow * Student artwork from Medford 3rd and 7th graders * Decorate Valentine Cookies from Whole Foods * Sing-A-Lingo performance with songs in Spanish and English * Tufts Traveling Trunk Performance * Face painting * Speed sketches-your unique portrait in 2 minutes * Bake Sale -with free Starbucks coffee * Valentine Crafts * and more! Families in our community will come together for an afternoon of entertainment while helping to support the many wonderful programs of the Medford Family Network!
Keep an eye out for local Celebrity Scoopers, and an appearance from the Queen of Hearts. Tickets are only $5 per person ($20 max per family) at the door (cash only). Please note that the Art Showcase, co-sponsored by Medford Arts Council Inc., can be viewed without charge.

ABOUT THE MEDFORD FAMILY NETWORK The Medford Family Network (MFN) of the Medford Public Schools is a grant-funded family support and parenting education program that is completely free and accessible to every child and caregiver who lives or works in Medford.
The MFN helps to nurture development of children from birth through age 13, and to support the families that care for this age group. No-cost programs include parenting and caregiver education classes; playgroups; drop-in play center; family literacy initiatives; and clothing, book and toy swaps. The Student Art Showcase is supported in part by a grant from the Medford Arts Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
