Monarchs need milkweed to survive!

Unfortunately for the monarch butterflies, Massachusetts has less and less of the herbaceous perennial, which means fewer places for monarch moms to lay their eggs.

We’ll be making seed bombs filled with native milkweed seed and other flowers butterflies love.

Bring your seed bomb home, toss it into a sunny spot, and grow some milkweed for the butterflies!

Our mission: to inspire enduring curiosity and love of learning.

At the Discovery Museums, children discover open-ended, interactive activities that encourage exploration and imagination.
