Great independent haircuttery for kids. They do a fantastic job and are exceptionally patient with the children. Each station has it's own TV w/DVD's for the kids, there is an airplane or carousel horse to sit in, as well as the traditional barber chairs. They also have a great play area for the kids with a Thomas train table, a castle with figures & books. It is clean and cheerful.

I have found Kid Klips to be a wonderful place for kids haircuts and they have a wonderful selection of kid's hair accessories at very reasonable prices.

Excellent First Haircut, Wed 4 Apr 2007

I've been afraid to take my 2 year old for his first haircut but this place actually eased the pain. I give it all to the stylist. Although my 2 year old behaved the way I thought he would screaming and crying the stylist was great with him and didn't make me feel like a bad parent having a screaming child. She was really good with him and gave him an awesome haircut. My son also liked the train set in the lobby and didn't want to leave. They had all kinds of dvd's to watch while my son sat in an airplane seat to get his haircut. What a saviour!

We tried Kid Klips in Wakefield for my son's first haircut. I wanted to make sure the first cut was a pleasant experience so that he wouldn't be afraid of future haircuts. And Kid Klips worked out perfect for us. There were plenty of toys and movies playing. The stylest was very good with kids and worked fast, so that his haircut was done before he had a chance to get upset. Also the haircut was adorable.

We just moved to Westford from Stoneham and what a treat Acton is!! I have two kids, brought them to the Saugus Snip its, then Wakefield KID Klips and it was so much better. Friendly help, better prices and just as good, even better attentiive haircut! Now I bring my boy and girl to Acton and it is that much better. It is HUGE, nice stylists and just a fun place for my 4 yr old to watch Dora on a FLAT SCREEN while she gets her haircut!!!! I have waited and HOUR at Snip Its, and 45 mins at KID KLIPS, and the wait was twice as fun at KID KLIPS!! A castle and a train table,......what else could my kids ask for. Makes haircuts FUN as they should be. You want an inconsistent haircut...?? Try SNIP ITS! Cheryl

I have 3 kids and had some of the same concerns, but what we did was find out the days the hair stylists we like work. Then we call ahead on those days and Kid Klips allows us to put our name in the queue so that when we arrive the wait is never longer than a few minutes, which bothers the kids because they like to play in the waiting area!

I have brought my 2 boys in many times in the last year, but have given up on this place. At first, yes, it was cool with all the fun stuff for kids, and we got a pretty good hair cut too. However, it is strictly 'walk-in' only, and in my experience, you usually end up with a 15 minute wait, sometimes longer. Also you get whatever stylist is 'on deck' and that leads to a lot of inconsistency with what your kid will end up with. Some cuts are good, some are not. Moreover, they quickly might ask what you want for a cut, but they have become too busy, and don't listen well to the customer, and you end up with whatever gets you out of the chair faster. I just walked out unhappy once and decided not to return. Too bad. It was a fun place.

Kid Klips in Acton is a great salon for haircuts. We took our 10-month-old son who wouldn't sit still for a trim from Mommy and he was enthralled with the videos, the 'airplane' chair, the colors, and the stylist. They don't take appointments, so it might be a good idea to call ahead to see how busy they are.

I took my 7 year old daughter to Kid Klips to get an updo for her dance performance. They did a magnificent job on her hair and made her feel like a princess. What a wonderful place.

Brought my 3 kids to get what I thought would be just a regular hair cut, like a barber shop. Instead Kid Klips had Playstations, gameboys, disney movie on flat screen tv's! My 3 yr old loved it and my 12 yr old enjoyed the video games while getting a good quality haircut. Instead of getting treated like just another customer at an adults salon, the employees made my kids feel special. Plus they actually liked cutting kids hair. I very experienced , professional crew they have there, and I will be back.
