Pottery Isle provides a casual, public art studio atmosphere at their location in The Tannery Mall in Newburyport.
Design your own pottery or jewelry (just drop in, or call ahead to arrange for your group), leave it to be fired, and pick it up in about a week! Adults and kids alike (even babies!) are encouraged to come in, get messy, and create!
The studio is spacious, providing enough space so that no customer feels rushed or cramped. Samples of hand-designed pottery and jewelry line the walls of the building, along with a wide selection of 'blank' dishes, tiles, jars, and other pottery. And at every table, containers of paints, brushes, and paint bottle 'pens' are provided. Their selection of beads includes Swavorski crystal, glass foil beads, sterling silver, shells, freshwater pearls, ceramic and porcelain. No experience is necessary, and food and beverages are welcome.
Come to make a gift, or for the party itself! Birthday party packages include a reserved party area, 1 1/2 hour studio time, ceramic or beading set-up, instruction, clean-up, glazing/firing or jewelry finishing, staff assistance, paper goods/utensils, and balloons. Additionally, the guest of honor receives a personalized pottery plate or jewelry box, and a group photo is given to each guest.
