Celebrate the sport, history and culture of Chinese Dragon Boat Racing at the Weeks Footbridge on Memorial Drive in Cambridge. Arts, crafts, food, martial arts demonstrations, music and dragon boat racing all in one location.

Hong Kong dragon boats are slim, teakwood racers with a hand-painted dragon's head at the prow and a flashy tail at the stern. Decorated in brilliant Chinese colors, each boat holds a crew of 18 sitting side by side, a steersperson at the rudder and a drummer whose beat sets the pace for the crew.

Area vendors will also be on hand for eats from 12:00pm - 5:00pm.

The race course runs from the Western Avenue Bridge to the Weeks footbridge.
