Sharpen your skates and take your mittens out of storage - it's time for the grand opening of the Frog Pond Skating Rink. The Boston Common Frog Pond opens for the 2007/2008 ice skating season at 5:30pm on November 15, 2007 with a figure skating demonstration followed by public skating.

Novices, pros and spectators alike, will all enjoy this evening extravaganza, which features wonderful figure skating and musical performances.

After the Mayor cuts the ribbon on this year's skating season, revelers will converge on the ice for an interlude of free public skating, adjourning to the warming area for occasional cups of hot cocoa.
