Patriots’ Day Events in Lexington and Concord (April 19, 2025)

Patriots’ Day marks the anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord—the first military engagements of the American Revolutionary War. Each year, both towns host commemorative events that bring history to life for families.

Lexington Patriots’ Day Highlights

  • Battle Reenactment at Lexington Battle Green
    Witness a reenactment of the early morning skirmish between the Lexington militia and British Regulars.

Minute Man National Historical Park Events

Throughout Patriots’ Day, the Minute Man National Historical Park offers educational and engaging activities:

MBTA Special Rail Schedule for Patriots Day Weekend 

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority has announced plans for a special rail schedule as part of the Massachusetts 250 celebration marking the 250th anniversary of the start of the American Revolution.

The celebration is set for Patriots Day weekend, April 19-20, 2025.

MBTA commuter rail plans include a special schedule on Saturday, April 19, with additional trains operating on the Fitchburg line, which serves towns including Lincoln and Concord. That schedule is available here.
