Where to Experience the 250th Anniversary
Lexington
Stand on the historic Battle Green at dawn as the 1775 confrontation is reenacted. Explore Buckman Tavern, Munroe Tavern, and the Hancock-Clarke House for expanded anniversary programming.
Concord
Visit Old North Bridge and witness tributes where the “shot heard ’round the world” was fired. Expect special 250th exhibits and commemorations throughout town.
Minute Man National Historical Park
Walk the Battle Road Trail and attend ranger-led programs highlighting the events of April 19, 1775.
Boston

MBTA Special Rail Schedule for Patriots Day Weekend
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority has announced plans for a special rail schedule as part of the Massachusetts 250 celebration marking the 250th anniversary of the start of the American Revolution.
The celebration is set for Patriots Day weekend, April 19-20, 2025.
MBTA commuter rail plans include a special schedule on Saturday, April 19, with additional trains operating on the Fitchburg line, which serves towns including Lincoln and Concord. That schedule is available here.
