metrowest ymca photoMore than 13,000 families and individuals participate in programs and services offered by the MetroWest YMCA within the towns of Framingham, Natick, Hopkinton, Holliston, Ashland, Sudbury, Wayland, Sherborn, Southboro, Millis, Milford and surrounding towns.

Financial Assistance
In 2003, the YMCA extended $680,000 in financial assistance to Metro West children, teens, adults and families in need who would otherwise have been unable to take part in the MetroWest YMCA programs and services.

Volunteer Opportunities
The MetroWest YMCA accepts applications from people who are interested in becoming a vital part of YMCA programs, becoming mentors, instructors, phone-a-thon callers, program fundraisers and more.

Aquatics
Over 115 classes per session are offered for ages 6 months to adult (60+) and all swimming levels from beginner (Swimming for the Terrified) to Master Level Competitive swimming with over 80 hours of lap swimming.

Adult Fitness
Aerobics – Over 13 different programs per session for all fitness levels from beginner low impact, special needs, pre-natal/post-partum and cardiac rehab to advanced hi-impact and step/cross training. Specialty Programs – Various programs for the whole body including personalized strength training, fully equipped Free Weight and Nautilus Room, adult volleyball and basketball as well as stress and weight management and nutrition classes.

Child Care
Provided for over 450 children at 8 sites fully licensed by the State Office for Child Care Services in the towns of: Framingham and Hopkinton. Programs are NAEYC accredited, educationally focused, multi-ethnic. Full-time and part-time child care is available from toddler through middle school age care.

Summer Camp
The MetroWest YMCA offers 14 different summer camp programs for children ages 4 through 16, providing lasting friendships, new opportunities and skills, and an appreciation for nature and FUN. The camp experience helps develop each child’s self-confidence, respect for themselves and others and leadership potential. Our camps serve over 650 campers each day.

Gymnastics & Dance
Over 20 different programs per session for ages 18 months to 14 years with skill levels from parent assisted toddler programs to competitive team gymnastics emphasizing a progressive format designed to enhance coordination, poise and confidence.

Preschool & Youth Enrichment
Over 12 different programs per session designed for children 12 months to 12 years working to develop tactile, listening and social skills in a safe, fun and hands-on learning environment.

Youth Sports & Recreation
Over 12 different programs per session designed to introduce children to a variety of sports and the benefits of teamwork, fitness and fair play. There are also many sports leagues including the popular Youth Basketball program serving more than 400 youth.

Teen Programs
Teen Nights, a safe, supervised environment for teens to dance, exercise and have fun with their friends are held each Friday and Saturday night with 50-100 teens from throughout the MetroWest area regularly participating. The popular High Flight program is an adventure-based counseling program, serving over 100 high risk teens each year. The Y’s Youth & Government Program, where young people learn the in’s and out’s of the democratic process. Teen Council, made up of teen leaders who advise the MetroWest YMCA on Teen Night and other youth programs; and Citizen Schools, a high quality, curriculum-based, after-school education model for middle school students.
