Upon A Star - Music Classes
Music For Aardvarks and Other Mammals (6 months-5 years)
Straight from New York, New York Upon A Star brings to you the 1st ever Music For Aardvarks class in Massachusetts. This fun and exciting parent and child music class incorporates a wide variety of musical activities including singing, musical storytelling, instrumental jam sessions, and musical puppet play. A less instructional approach to music, the class encourages children to explore and learn on their own without the anxiety of others expectations. Young children will have enriching and vital musical experiences that help them gain a sense of themselves and a connection with the world around them. The original songs, written by Berklee Graduate, David Weinstone celebrates the lives of children growing up in an urban environment as well as more traditional themes universal to all children!
Kindermusik Village (newborn-15 months):
Kindermusik Village provides the natural learning your child is ready for from the first days of life. With object exploration, vocal play, singing, dancing, creative movement and a colorful literature component, you will learn how musical activities stimulate cognitive growth and physical development. Observe and celebrate baby's development with a Village of other parents and children. Lullabies, songs, rhymes, bounces, clapping, and tickles, Village opens new windows-to show your baby more about the world and to show you more about your baby.
Kindermusik Our Time (15 months-3 years) :
Experience the joy of making music together! Singing, dancing, rocking, wiggles and giggles. Our Time focuses on your child's emotional development as confidence, curiosity, self-control and communication begin to take shape. Our Time recognizes the need for both the freedom to try and the assurance of your support. Instrument exploration, singing, sound imitation, rhyming and creative dance are just a few of the many activities explored-Our Time is a wonderful first time experience for the preschool bound child!
Kindermusik Imagine That! (3-5 years):
His blanket becomes a superhero's cape...a cardboard box doubles as her magic castle...a new musical classroom experience designed to tap directly into your child's imagination. Kindermusik Imagine That! provides a carefully integrated curriculum of music, movement and pretend play where your child's unique interests will be fully engaged in an environment that invites young minds, bodies and voices to reflect, compare, make choices, express opinions, solve problems, sing and move. For the preschool age child, every day is a new discovery waiting to happen. With Imagine That! you and you child can explore those discoveries together. Please join us in Sharing Time! Parents/Caregiver's join children for activities the last 15 minutes of class.
Kindermusik Adventures Summer Camp (15 months-5 years):
Books, storytelling, language, drama, puppets-these are all essential ingredients to Adventures Summer Camp. This class utilizes a thematic approach that carries throughout all classroom and At home activities. Children will learn from a book, sing what they learned and move to that singing. Adventures will capture your child's attention, nurture the budding creativity and individuality, and enhance the overall learning process. This is accomplished through a remarkable blend of music, singing, movement storytelling and a great deal of imagination. Imagination is everything and there's no better way to stimulate creativity and imagination than through the joy and power of music!
Rhythm & Glues! (18 months-5 years):
Thematic arts and crafts classes designed for the artistic child! This fabulous arts and crafts class incorporates all aspects of 'the arts' in a hands-on environment. Dancing, music, games with a twist...add some sparkle and some glue, the ideas are up to you! Creative expression is encouraged while children fly a kite around the room, build new friendships, listen to stories and relate their play to a 'project of the day.' Getting messy is the name of the game. This is a fun class where ideas sore, music rings and creating a project together builds not only social skills but everlasting creativity and fun!! Please bring a smock-we tend to get messy!
