boston hill farm photoBoston Hill Farm in North Andover is a small but lovely farm and orchard. The owners are very friendly, the produce and baked goods are excellent, and children love their petting zoo and play area.

Boston Hill has a variety of pick-your-own produce that ripen in the following order: strawberries, blueberries, peaches, apples and pumpkins.

Richardson's Ice Cream is available at the ice cream stand. In addition to fresh produce, the farm store sells homemade apple cider donuts, pies, turnovers and many more bakery items, as well everything from chicken pies to penny candy.

On fall weekends, Boston Hill's Farm Festival includes hayrides, apple and peach picking, live country music, a moonbounce, and games. Bring your appetite, because the smell of ribs and chicken from the on-site Boneyard BBQ is impossible to resist!

Boston Hill has goats, bunny rabbits, sheep, chickens and roosters. The adjacent, shady play area has picnic tables and really fun play equipment, including tire swings shaped like horses, a giant wood tractor and a big wooden boat to climb up and slide down.

Boston Hill also offers school tours and special group outings. Call for more information.

4-starOur Boston Hill Farm Visit
I took my little boy there this past weekend (sat-5/15th). It was a nice spring day, so I thought what a perfect day for a farm visit and ice cream! Well, let me tell you, we both had a blast! Between the little petting zoo with sheep, goats, chickens and one ornery rooster and some ducks. he got a big kick out of it. (he is 4 1/2). They have the coolest structures to climb on too. Big wooden tractor, a train and even a big ship with a slide coming down. And the people who work there in the cute country store were so friendly. As well as the girl scooping the delicious 'richardsons' ice cream – she even recommended a flavor and let me try a sample. (and yes, i ended up getting it....mint patty yogurt)!! They have picnic tables and a place to sit and enjoy your ice-cream. The place is small compared to some farms...but very adorable and friendly. The country store attached has delicious homemade jams, pies and fudge. as well as gift items and candles. This farm also does a farmers market in malden on fridays, from about 10am-4pm or 5pm. That is how I had heard it!!! You can be sure i will be back with my family and for the fall fest.
