The Cape Ann Museum offers school education programs relating to Cape Ann's history as a center for artists and the source of granite for buildings up and down the East coast.

School Education Programs
School education programs are based on the Museum’s collections. A sampling of current topics includes:

Skylight – Fitz Henry Lane
Time to Play – 19th century toys and games
Man of Iron – Howard Blackburn
Author Extraordinaire – Virginia Lee Burton
This Old House – Sea captain Elias Davis and his house
Tools of the Trade – Cape Ann’s quarrying industry
With Chisel in Hand – Cape Ann’s sculptors
Port of Gloucester – Gloucester’s fishing industry
Telling a Painting’s Story – Artists of Cape Ann

Programs can be custom-designed to meet the needs of a particular student group.
