Apollinaire Play Lab offers acting, dance, and visual arts classes for children and teens ages 3–14+, along with exciting opportunities to perform in youth plays. Our year-round program includes fall, winter, and spring sessions; school vacation week and summer programming; and musical theatre and play productions.
Classes and performances take place in the Riseman Family Theatre at Chelsea Theatre Works in Chelsea, Massachusetts. Opened in 2016, this youth-dedicated space features a professionally equipped black box theatre, a studio classroom, and a welcoming lobby.
Apollinaire Play Lab centers on experiences that young people find unique, exciting, and relevant to their own lives. Our goals are to provide a strong foundation in a variety of arts disciplines and to give youth the skills and confidence to express themselves and create.
Many Play Lab students continue on to internships and professional opportunities with Apollinaire Theatre Company and other Boston-area theatre organizations.
Our participation in the Card to Culture program and scholarships ensure that all children can participate regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
