TCAN provides a cultural center to the MetroWest Boston region, where national and emerging artists present performances, literary events, and art exhibitions in an environment that brings together individuals and families, children and seniors.

Through affordable and accessible education programs, TCAN fosters community expression and provides a place for people of all ages to cultivate their artistic talents. Classes are offered weekdays after school, weekends, vacation weeks, and during summer break.

Pocket Full of Tales Musical Theater & Advanced Acting Programs (Ages 4-14)

Pocket Full of Tales has been offering theater education at TCAN for 13 years, with programming available for children ages 4-14 nearly 50 weeks of the year in afterschool, school vacation, and summer musical theatre and acting workshops.

Walnut Hill School for the Artsí Theater Teen Intensive (Ages 13-17)

Among several program collaborations with TCAN, Walnut Hill School for the Arts presents The Theater Teen Intensive; a process-based workshop for teens with a focus on acting, text, and music analysis, as well as one fully staged performance for families. Also features a vocal performance private lesson add-on.

VoiceWorks A Cappella Program (Grades 6-10)

VoiceWorks is an introductory a cappella workshop for young singers. Participants will acquire skills in singing in harmony, creative collaboration, auditioning, vocal percussion, and more. This workshop includes an opportunity to showcase learned skills for an audience of family and friends.

Family Performance Series

Featuring a wide variety of acts including family jam bands like Ben Rudnick and Friends to The Tanglewood Marionettes, the Family Series offers something for everyone.

All presentations take place in 270-seat mainstage theatre unless otherwise indicated; stroller parking is available in the lobby and the theater is fully accessible. Booster seats are also available at each performance. All programs are recommended for children ages 3 to 10 unless otherwise indicated.

Birthday Parties

As a benefit to members, TCAN is available for Birthday Party Rentals as part of our Family Performance Series. Tables and chairs are provided in the space following a performance and the price includes a group discount for tickets to the show.
