Coding Butterfly is a Coding and Robotics school in Boston and Newton. Because our primary purpose is to educate children, we limit class size to a total of eight students and assign a teacher and a tutor to each class in order to maintain a strict 4:1 ratio.
From Game Design in Roblox and Minecraft to 3D Design and Web Design, to Robotics with Arduino, Raspberry Pi to advanced coding in Python and JavaScript.
Summer Promotion - Now we will pick up kids from school and drive them to our class. All parents need, is just to pick students up at the end of the class from Coding Butterfly.
At Coding Butterfly we make the choice easy by being direct and transparent in our approach to helping you pick which classes are best suited to your child.
This fall, we have a great line up of classes to choose from!
3D Design classes with TinkerCad. This is a fantastic user-friendly online 3d design application from Autodesk.
Game Development class with Roblox, that is an awe-inspiring platform that grown by leaps and bounds over the past few years because it allows game designers to build almost anything that they can imagine! We’ll also teach kids how to work with a special scripting language called Lua.
Scratch is a quick and easy to use program that allows kids to build programs by slotting together ready-made blocks of code. This is great for young coders because it teaches them the concepts and provides lots of opportunity for success! This is a fun class where we use sound effects, animation, speed control, and even math!
Python is one of the most popular and widely used computer languages and its precision means coders don’t need to type much in order to create programs that can do a lot. Many of today’s most successful organizations (such as Google, NASA and YouTube) use Python to build their programs. And now your child can learn how to use it to control hobby computers, such as the BBC micro:bit and the Raspberry Pi.
