Summer should be a time for children and teenagers to explore, learn, grow and – above all else – have FUN. CRS Summer programs have something for every camper – Performing & Visual Arts, Nature, STEM, Innovation, Sports, or all of the above!
Whether you’re returning for another season or you’re interested in trying something new, we hope you find everything you need on these summer camp pages.
Our programs are inclusive, hands-on, and collaborative and celebrate growth, community and friendship. CRS Summer programs have something for every camper.
Charles River Creative Arts Program
Honoring and expanding our award-winning Charles River Creative Arts Program (CRCAP) we provide campers with the choice to explore many genres of the arts, STEM (including our Wetlands Lab), traditional day camp sports, innovation, or all of the above within an inclusive, welcoming and relaxed environment.
From dance, set and costume design, and digital animation to rock band and creating your very own musical, CRCAP campers build their day based on the subjects that interest them. In addition, CRCAP offers sports, free-swim, and an array of daily “pop-up” activities to choose from. CRCAP prides itself on providing a vibrant, supportive space for young people to experience the creative process, express themselves and build lasting friendships!
CRS Summer Leadership Program (CIT)
Our CRS Summer Leadership Program is a Counselor in Training (CIT) program that provides the opportunity for teens to develop and strengthen their independence and confidence and gain skills that will serve them well in the real world.
These skills include teamwork, planning, responsibility, leadership, discipline and work ethic, and hands-on experience working with children. Each camper in this program will be paired with a one-on-one mentor, with whom they will work for the duration of the summer and who will guide them through their learning process.
Game Changers: Athletic Intensives
Our Athletic Intensive Programs are dedicated to honing skills and fundamentals as well as building confidence through organized, sport-specific games and instruction.
Programs are offered in partnership with New England Surf (soccer), Mass Commanders (basketball), Skyhawks Academy with USA Field Hockey (field hockey), and Skyhawks Academy (volleyball).
Campers will be grouped by age and ability and led by staff/partner organizations who are experienced educators and coaches with a passion for mentoring young athletes while monitoring their activities safely. Detailed information for each session can be found on our website
Caregiver + Toddler: Pay-by-the-day Drop-ins
CRS Summer Minis sessions are led by our experienced staff with specializations in Music Education, STEM education and Art Education. This provides a chance for caregivers and their kids to engage in classes and conversation, with a flexible pay-as-you-go schedule.
All sessions are for child + parent/caregiver. A parent or caregiver must be present with child during all sessions.
