On October 7, guests are invited to spend a Stinky Saturday at Franklin Park Zoo as they celebrate the Zoo’s impending corpse flower bloom, a rare and smelly occasion in the natural world.

Learn about how animals use scent as communication during special zookeeper chats and up-close animal encounters.

Plant aficionados can see rare corpse flower, Fester, up close and learn about how this gigantic plant uses scent to attract pollinators with a palate for the putrid.

Find out how some animals use foul fragrances to ward off predators and mark territories in their environment, and get the “Scoop on Poop” at an education station.
