After decades of service to Metrowest pet owners, the Best Friends Pet Hotel in Sudbury (150 Boston Post Road) is inviting pet owners and families to take a look at the recently renovated facility.
Staffed by pet-loving Best Friends Pet Hotel employees, the upgraded 15,000 square foot facility located on historic Route 20 in Sudbury features overnight standard and luxury suites for boarding dogs, doggy day camp, and grooming services.
The company is now 100 percent employee-owned, where employees are invested in the company’s success.
On Saturday, March 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Best Friends Pet Hotel will hold a public grand opening celebration featuring treats for pets at the Best Friends Treat Truck, refreshments for all guests and goody bags to the first 50 attendees, fun activities for your dog featuring Buddy Dog Humane Society dog and cat pet adoption information, and of course tours of the new facility offering the latest in pet care to pampered dogs and cats.
Well-behaved dogs are always welcome to visit the facility with their owners.
New Best Friends customers will receive their first day free for doggy day camp, and all event guests will receive discounts on boarding, day camp and grooming.
According to Laurie Lincoln-Eshman, Executive Director of Buddy Dog Humane Society located directly across the street from Best Friends Pet Hotel, “We are looking forward to partnering with Best Friends at their beautifully renovated, state-of-the-art facility.

Day and overnight guests will enjoy new “bells and dog whistles” in Sudbury:
- Total of 89 dog suites, a mix of 80 dog plus nine spacious Luxury Suites featuring Pet Chatz so pet parents can Facetime and even distribute treats through a mobile application
- Suites featuring the latest in design, sound mitigation and cleanliness
- The highest ratio of play space to suite space in the region, and dogs in play spaces are divided by temperament and size.
- Double the indoor play yard space, equipped with rubberized flooring to minimize stress and sound, and reduce play-based injuries.
The three large indoor play yards feature a seamless, comfortable flooring system with a bacteria-resistant surface for pet safety.
- Webcams for pet parent viewing, and weekly emailed photo home
- State of the art cleaning systems - the most advanced biosecurity system available - and used by over 90% of veterinary universities, using up to 40% less water.
- All pet͛s’ special needs are considered, and each guest is monitored closely.
All pets are required to provide proof of vaccinations.
Never to be outdone by dogs, cat owners will enjoy boarding in any one of eight suites in the warm and inviting Kitty City, a safe environment designed to keep boarded cats stimulated and happy.
