Don’t throw away that paper cup, glass jar, plastic bottle, shoe box or tin can. Bring it or any other used item to be recycled by decorating it with free postage stamps.

In addition to providing colorful stamps to decorate used items, children can learn how to make envelopes from old wrapping paper and can use them to send Earth Day greetings to friends with the Museum providing the postage.

There will also be stamp games and puzzles with stamp prizes awarded.

Families can also make a stamp map using worldwide stamps that feature many endangered species.
A display featuring United States and worldwide stamps that depict many environmental topics will be on exhibit.

There is also a special exhibit of Spring Flowers on Stamps.

Refreshments will be served and tips about how to start a stamp collection will be available.

All children will receive a free packet of stamps and can have their photograph made into a “stamp.
The Museum gift shop and US Post Office which sells all current stamps will also be open.
