The Market promotes independent businesses and individuals creating one-of-a-kind and limited edition handmade works in small studio environments, this sometimes means in their very own homes.
Our past holiday markets, hosted in our Cambridge stitch lounge, have been wildly successful so we decided to expand the size of the show and take it on the road…right down Prospect Street, crossing into Somerville, to celebrate handmade and handcrafted in vibrant Union Square.
In addition to the artists and craftspeople exhibiting at the 2014 Handmade Holiday Market there will be a DJ (get your groove on, folks), coffee by Black Magic, and Roxy's Grilled Cheese.
Make handmade a part of your holiday tradition and pick up DIY gift kits from gather here, who will have a small selection of their unique products available at the Market.
Shopping locally and buying handmade goods means you are supporting local small businesses and strengthening your hometown economy while building a stronger and more vibrant community.
gather here encourages everyone in the community to make as much as they can but no one can make everything.
