7th annual LEXINGTON OPEN STUDIOS

May 2 – 3, 2015 11am – 5pm both days

To view artist’s individual websites, see www.lexingtonopenstudios.org

Come see artists at work in their studios!

Lexington is very fortunate to have a growing, changing and thriving arts community.

Sometimes this is invisible.

Artists often work quietly and may not show or sell their work in places near you.

The 7th Annual Lexington Open Studios offers the public a rare opportunity to venture into some of these otherwise hidden creative places!

There are many artists working behind their closed doors, inside basements, attics, attached studios, studios in community arts buildings, who are creating wonderful and unique art.

So enjoy this exciting weekend.

Artwork will be for sale, so it’s a great opportunity to skip the mall and pick up a creative gift or art object for your home.

Ceramics, Paintings, Sculpture, Fiber Arts, Jewelry, Photography, Basketry, Collage, Prints and Cards….

all in a wonderful array of styles and mediums.

Artists joined in organizing, exhibiting and demonstrating at this special event.

These are artists who live or work in Lexington such as teachers or members of the art societies, and all will be available to discuss their techniques and the inspiration behind their creative process.

Many will be demonstrating.

Grab a map on-line or at the locations listed here and spend a couple of days, perhaps on your bicycle, scouting out all the nooks and crannies in town to see what goes on in these artists' studios.
