In honor of Cinco de Mayo, this month’s project is designed around the Mexican art of Repujado, which is the art of creating raised designs in metal.
Participants will create “mirros” using brightly colored decorations and even sequins to surround the metal designs.
The project is intended to take 30 to 60 minutes to complete, and is designed for all ages to enjoy.
Families can drop in any time from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
Each Free Drop-in Family Day ends at 5:00 PM.
The program is generously supported by grants from the Acton-Boxborough, Bedford, Carlisle, Concord, Littleton, and Wayland Cultural Councils, local agencies, which are supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
Free Drop-in Family Days are also generously sponsored by Middlesex Savings Bank.
