Summer 2025 Week 2 (Gr. 8) - Fiber Arts and Jewelry Making

Grades 6-8

Week 2 • July 7-11

Fiber Arts

Learn the art and lifelong skill of hand sewing as well as how fiber arts can be anything from friendship bracelets to wall hangings, quilts, and clothing.

Using different fabrics, wool, yarn, and thread, participants will learn new skills through projects including embroidery, weaving, dyeing, and felting.

Jewelry Making

Explore the decorative art of jewelry making.

Draw inspiration from ancient adornments, intricate beadwork, and modern metalsmiths.

With glass seed beads, organic stones, charms, and your own polymer clay beads, participants will create a variety of wearable art pieces.
