Discover the creative possibilities of torn paper in this hands-on art class.Participants will explore techniques for transforming simple paper into stunning works of art, starting with realistic silhouettes in black and white, and progressing to abstract designs using colorful papers and varied textures.
This class welcomes artists of all ages and skill levels, making it a perfect activity for individuals, families, or friends to enjoy together.
By the end of the session, you’ll leave with your own unique torn paper creations, professionally matted and ready to frame.
All materials are provided – just bring your imagination!
Beverly Nunes Ramsay creates striking pictures and sculptures by tearing handmade paper, capturing the cultural heritage of nations worldwide.
Her innovative approach, inspired by her diverse background, transforms paper into a storytelling medium.
Beverly’s work has been featured at the Fuller Craft Museum, the Danforth Museum, and in a solo exhibition at the Mariposa Museum on Martha’s Vineyard.
She works from her studio at Holliston Mills.
