A Brazilian group playing traditional choro music, Choro das 3 have made it their mission to revive the choro tradition in Brazil and spread its distinctive sound around the globe.

With a style that shares a similar feel to New Orleans jazz, ragtime and even bluegrass, Choro das 3 brings a lively and musically sophisticated sound to all their performances.

It is a family ensemble, made up of three sisters and their father who began to perform as a band back in 2002.

Corina plays flute and piccolo.

Lia plays 7-string guitar.

Elisa plays mandolin, banjo, clarinet and piano.

Their father, Eduardo, plays pandeiro (the Brazilian tambourine).

Choro das 3 have recorded three acclaimed albums and have played for millions of people (including Brazil’s Presidents, Governors and Ministers).

Over the years they have developed a special project called “Choro Concerts at School” that teaches young people the amazing richness of choro music, building a new audience and ensuring its place in the hearts of the future generations.
