Meet the talented authors and illustrators whose books are featured in the 20th Annual Family Trees at the Concord Museum. Stroll the tree-filled galleries & visit with authors and illustrators as they sign your books.

The focus on children’s literature makes the Concord Museums’ Family Trees beloved and special among the many holiday events in Greater Boston.

Each tree serves as a canvas for the artistic creations of a dedicated team of volunteer decorators.

Inspired by the storyline, the illustrations, the characters or setting of a particular book, the decorators let their imaginations take flight, much to the delight of visitors of all ages from all over New England and beyond.

From the Honorary Chairperson (Cokie Roberts in 2015) to the tree decorators, program book editors, visiting authors and beyond, Family Trees is a volunteer effort and all funds raised benefit the educational programming initiatives at the Concord Museum.

“At Barefoot we’re all about storytelling and the Concord Museum’s annual Family Trees event is a captivating display of storytelling at its most original.” said longtime Concord resident, Nancy Traversy and owner of Barefoot Books, lead sponsor of Family Trees at the Concord Museum.
