Join us as we explore and discover Madhubani (Mithila) art – an Indian folk art that originates from the Northern region of India.

Get up close to works of art created by Acton-Boxborough High School student, Anindita Lal, then try your hand at creating your own unique work of art inspired by the pieces around you.

Anindita has been learning the Madhubani art form under local artist Sunanda Sahay since 2014.

The teacher- student duo has been awarded an apprenticeship by the Mass Cultural Council, as an avenue to pass on dying art forms and continue traditions.
