As part of the celebration, the first Annual Creative Black-Tie Dinner will be held featuring the Academy Honors and its student performances.
The anniversary celebration will bring out the prominent leaders of entertainment industry, the arts and politics including Massachusetts Governor Charles Baker and First Lady Lauren Baker, Mayor of Boston Martin J.
Walsh, Golden Globe Award Winner Maura Tierney, Fashion Week Founder Jay Calderin, Actor & Film Maker Mark Wahlberg, and Music Artist Bobby Brown.
In addition, BAA’s very own alumni Diane Guerrero, star actor in the award-winning Netflix’s show Orange is the New Black, and Belén Pereyra-Alem, Dancer at Alvin Ailey Dance Theater, will also be present.
May 18, 2018: Kickoff Reception -A cocktail party followed by a late-night dace party honoring BAA alumni and next generation philanthropists.
May 19, 2018: BAA Honors – First Annual Creative Black-Tie Dinner supporting the important work of BAA.
Presenting the BAA Honors and featuring student performances.
May 20, 2018: Jazz & Spirituals Brunch – A showcase of the incredible talent of BAA student vocalists, hosted by BAA’s Advisory Council.
The brunch will feature a keynote speaker on social justice as well as a ceremony honoring the school’s longest serving faculty and staff.
