Zapatos, Zapatos!

What is Zapatos?

Shoes?

Yes...

but it's much more than the Spanish word for shoes!

Zapatos is the original play by Stacey Fix, produced by Theater Workshop.

Zapatos is a cultural delight set in a mythical Spanish village with a cast of lovable characters, vibrant costumes and colorful scenic design.

Zapatos is a fairytale of dreams fulfilled, where the Queen realizes her destiny when she leaves her throne to switch places with a shoe maker.

She falls in love with a cook.

They marry and have four daughters, each with her own dreams to fulfill.

Hilarity ensues as she creates shoes for the Prince’s ball while balancing her family of four head-strong daughters.

This production will bring true entertainment with laughter, music and a dancing bull.

Zapatos is most of all, a smart and enduring piece of storytelling with a satisfyingly twist and an uplifting theme.

So take the steps to see Zapatos in flip flops, sneakers, boots, heels or whatever shoes strike your fancy!

Theater Workshop is a professional children’s theater enrichment program of Workshop Arts Inc.

a non-profit foundation.

Children from different schools in the surrounding towns are included in this cast.

This Workshop Arts program is supported in part by LLC grants from Newbury, Salisbury and Rowley.
