What does purple sound like?

In the same way that artists create scenes with shapes and colors, composers paint pictures with sound.

Join the Chameleon Arts Ensemble at the Hyde Park Branch Library on Saturday, June 2 from 2-4pm for an afternoon of classical music – especially for kids – with works by Beethoven, Manuel de Falla, Joan Tower, and more.

An instrument “Petting Zoo” will follow the performance in the Library's beautiful outdoor Children's Garden.

Kids will be able handle and play orchestral instruments as guided by the musicians, and will be encouraged to touch, blow, pluck, bow, and strike.

The event is FREE and no tickets are necessary.
