Olga Kisseleva - electronic music / vocals Fotini Christophillis - live painting Christopher Konopka - analog video synthesis Inna Dudukina - duduk

Xenai is a trilogy series centered around the ideas of inception, challenges, and assertion of a new identity.

It is a cross-discipline collaboration engaging electronic music with vocals, painting performance, and video projection.

Each performer creates and improvises individual works that intertwine to become a cohesive whole.

The video projected on the painter’s canvas is a response to the painting performance, that becomes a dance in relationship to the music.

Xenai is an ancient Greek word meaning stranger welcomed as a friend.

Throughout the performance, artists and audience experience transformation from the unfamiliar to that which they embrace.
