This year’s special guests include: The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl comic artist Erica Henderson, a two-time Eisner Award winner who drew the first 37 Squirrel Girl comics for Marvel and has worked on Jughead; Raul the Third, who is the Award-winning illustrator behind the popular graphic novels Lowriders in Space and Lowriders to the Center of the Earth.

He also works on the SpongeBob Squarepants comic-book.

Joel Christian Gill, the author and illustrator behind graphic novels that share fantastic, real-life stories of black Americans, including a kid-friendly graphic novel about stunt motorcyclist Bessie Stringfield.

Dynamic comic creators including Marika McCoola, John Lechner, Tak Toyoshima of Wondermore, and Dan Moynihan are scheduled to run a range of hands-on workshops on comic creation, drawing, digital comic creation, using comics in the classroom & your library, and more!

Superheroes She-Hulk, Black Panther, Star Lord and Jack Frost (from the Rise of the Guardian Comics) will be available for a Q & A thanks to Band of Horses.

David Lewis will share his inspiring Refugee Comics projects and talk about how comics can help make positive change in the world.

Recent graduates will talk to aspiring comic artists about their experiences in the comics world.

Youth can sign up to sell their own comics at our Young Artists Table.
