**CALL FOR PARTICIPATION TO CREATIVE FOLKS OF ALL AGES**

The Fox Festival Parade, ArtsArlington’s annual tradition celebrating local wildlife, community, and the neighborhood Fox Branch Library, is reimagined this year as the FOX & OWL TINY FILM & PHOTO FESTIVAL.

We invite you to make a painting, a series of photos, or a short movie starring Fox and Owl and share it with friends, neighbors, and the world!

The Festival theme is “The Epic Adventures of Fox and Owl.” DIY activities offer a fun opportunity for families to get creative together or for friends to collaborate on a project.

It’s also designed as an imaginative prompt for artists and other folks to freely interpret.

Visit ArtsArlington.org/foxandowl to download paper puppets drawn by artist Kari Percival.

You’ll also find sample videos, shorts about local wildlife, and how to resources.

You can make something complicated and epic, or simple and surprising.

Tell a story, send a message, create visual poetry, tell a joke!

The deadline for submissions is August 31 and the Film Festival will premier in September, date TBD.

Send your submissions to: [email protected] or use WeTransfer to send a link (free service with no registration required).

The Arlington International Film Festival has joined as a co-sponsor; three films will be selected by a jury from the Fox & Owl Festival for inclusion in their Youth Film Festival in November.

Our other fantastic partners are: the Arlington Public Libraries, ACMi (Arlington Community Media, Inc), Arlington Center for the Arts, The Ottoson Middle School Green Team, 13FOREST Gallery, The Object of Stories, Maxima Gift Shop, and other Capitol Square businesses.

The Epic Adventures of Fox and Owl is funded in part by a generous contribution from Friends of the Fox Branch Library.
