WMOS showcases the talents of over 80 visual artists from Medford and surrounding communities.

Come see paintings, sculpture, pottery, photographs, mixed media art, woodwork, drawings, fabric arts, blown glass, and jewelry— and meet the artists who create them.

Artists will be located under individual canopies with plenty of distance between them for visitors to walk around and enjoy the event.

To provide space for all of our artists, we will also have artists exhibiting across the street at the West Medford Community Center.

Some of the most popular performers from past WMOS events are playing again this year!

The Juventus New Music Ensemble will kick off the event with some lovely modern classical compositions.

Occasional Brass’s toe-tapping renditions of various pop and rock songs are always crowd-pleasers.

Longtime WMOS favorites Al & Katrin Peterson will take the stage mid-afternoon, followed by singer-songwriting partners Laura Brereton and Raleigh Green.

The Porter Squares will deliver their unique blend of rock, pop, soul, and R & B, and The Feuds will close out the day with some rowdy rock ’n’ roll.

Another special part of West Medford Open Studios is live readings by local writers.

This year, six writers will be presenting their own new pieces.

Come hear original poetry, essays, short stories, and excerpts of novels.

After each reading, members of the audience will have the chance to talk to the writers: to ask questions and discover the inspiration for the works.

Readings will begin at 1 pm, with the final reading at 3:30 pm.

A few extra highlights to make the day even more festive will be the addition of a beer garden by Medford’s own Medford Brewing Company as well as a bagel pop up by local bagel shop rock stars Goldilox Bagels.
