Library visitors in July can learn more about the ancient origin of quilling and the hours that go into reformatting famous pieces of art, and witness the quality of this kind of craftsmanship.
Our Artist Series brings famous paintings by renowned artists Vincent Van Goh, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Claude Monet, Gustav Klimt, Hokusai, Georges Seurat, and Henri-Edmond Cross to a completely new dimension and illustrate the endless possibilities of handmade paper art.
The collection artfully transforms paint strokes into paper strips using the ancient art of quilling.
The cards in the series take 6 hours to hand-make and are miniature masterpieces.
