The Massachusetts Independent Comics Expo (MICE) is New England’s premiere event dedicated to the exciting and accessible art form of independent comics and graphic novels.

Located at Boston University's School of Visual Arts at 808 Commonwealth Ave, Brookline, MA, admission is FREE and open to the public.

Each year, MICE plays host to hundreds of independent comics artists and small press publishers alongside thousands of attendees eager to check out new comics.

Whether you check out the artists' alley, join a hands-on workshops, or attend an inclusive panel discussion, MICE has something for everyone.

MICE is a free-to-attend event for comics readers of all ages who are excited to dive into the latest comics has to offer.

GETTING TO MICE BY MBTA

Taking the T or bus to MICE is encouraged and convenient as our venue is steps from the Boston University Central T stop on the Green Line B. Once you arrive at Boston University Central, cross Commonwealth Ave toward St Mary’s Street and walk a block east to our venue. Complete information on bus, subway, and commuter rail schedules is available on the MBTA web site.

  • New attendees frequently forget about the panels and workshops! MICE takes place in two main gallery spaces, two panel rooms in the Howard Thurman Center (still at 808 Comm Ave), and two workshop rooms on the third floor. Explore MICE, find what you like, and enjoy!
