Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (Blue Cross) is sponsoring complimentary Bluebikes Day Passes every “Mindful Monday” in August in recognition of National Wellness Month.
The initiative aims to highlight the positive impact mindfulness activities like biking can have on one’s overall health and wellbeing.
Throughout the month, riders can enjoy the outdoors while also improving their mental and physical health by taking free Bluebikes rides, courtesy of the state’s largest health plan.
Blue Cross is the title sponsor of Bluebikes, which is public transportation by bike.
The system is municipally owned and operated under contract by Lyft.
Free “Mindful Mondays” Day Passes are available from any of the Bluebikes stations across the system’s 13 municipalities: Arlington, Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Newton, Revere, Salem, Somerville, and Watertown.
A full list of Bluebikes stations can be found at www.bluebikes.com/map.
