Vincent Millay, who was discovered at Whitehall in 1912.
Joining featured Poet Laureate Gibson Fay-LeBland will be Maine-based writers Rebecca Irene, Jacob Fricke, meg willing, Rufus Nicoll, and Julia Bouwsma.
The cost to attend Poetry Night is $10, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance, which specifically supports female writers in the midcoast region.

In association with Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance, a portion of the ticket proceeds will be donated to the organization's Ilgenfritz Scholarships.
One scholarship is for female high school students entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year in Waldo or Knox counties to attend the Longfellow Young Writers’ Workshop at the University of Maine at Farmington each July.
The second is for female writers 18+ in Waldo or Knox counties who have graduated from high school to attend the Slice Literary Writers’ Conference in Brooklyn, New York each September.
Pig + Poet will be open for regular dinner & bar service beginning at 5 p.m. Ticket holders will be seated in the main dining room.
Seasonal highlights from the Pig + Poet menu include:
- Lobster Roll with louie sauce, avocado, local greens, and crispy leeks
- Shrimp & Grits with braised pork, sharp cheddar grits, and green onion
- Fried Chicken with ranch-laced biscuit, sweet & sour slaw, and poet hot sauce
- Pan-Seared Halibut with smoked eggplant, fresh harissa, crispy chickpeas, figs, and lime dust
- Hog Heaven Chocolate Cake with candied bacon and creamy caramel
