Approximately twenty high schoolers, with five MIT undergraduate mentors, can design and build a low cost solar oven, learning about engineering for international development along the way.

This free summer program, held between 9 AM and noon on August 20th through 24th at MIT, exposes high school students to low cost engineering.

Students design, build, and test a solar oven during the week, with the help of five MIT undergraduates passionate about engineering and education.

Students will also listen to international development speaker and learn about the importance of new technology initiatives. Students receive a snack each day.
