From zilch to a complete music production, the bootcamp is a modular 3-session course covering digital audio fundamentals, editing and working with MIDI, audio recording and editing, and mixing techniques, thoroughly covering common tools and applications such as compression, EQ and reverb.
Each of the three Bootcamp sessions are complete stand-alone courses, and students may enroll in one, two, or all three.
Session one is Bootcamp: MIDI, session two is Bootcamp: Audio, and session three is Bootcamp: Mixing.
Students will get well-supported, hands-on music production experience.
They must provide their own headphones or earbuds, a mac laptop and power adapter, and may use either GarageBand, Logic Express or Pro, or Reason (version 6 or later) for the course.
A MIDI keyboard and audio interface will be provided.
This course is for teens & adults, and is well-suited to high school students looking to improve their music production skills.
