eMLS Cup presented by PlayStation, the marquee event for Major League Soccer’s EA SPORTS FIFA 19 league, returns to PAX East on Saturday, March 30.

Back in Boston for the second year, the PAX After Hours event will bring together 22 of the world’s best FIFA professional gamers representing 22 MLS clubs, including Massachusetts native John Oliveira (JKO1707) representing the New England Revolution.

The championship event at the cross-section of gaming and soccer culture is free and open to the public.

Widely known by his gamer tag, JKO1707, John Oliveira is in his second year representing the Revolution as the club’s official eMLS competitor.

The 25-year-old, who was born in Brazil and raised in Oak Bluffs, Mass., joined the Revs in 2018 after more than a decade of competitive FIFA experience, including recent top-10 finishes in the Miami Regional, Vancouver Regional, and FIFA Interactive World Cup (FIWC) in 2017.

The winner of eMLS Cup receives a series of prizes including the eMLS Cup trophy, points towards qualification on the road to the FIFA eWorld Cup 2019, $15,000, a spot on the first-ever U.S.

Soccer eNational Team, and more.

Reigning champ Kid M3mito of the Houston Dynamo will be out to defend his 2018 crown, while doolsta of the Philadelphia Union will return after taking home the trophy in both of the prior eMLS events this year.
