What's blues dancing?
It's a partner dance that emphasizes connection, emotion and expression.
It's a conversation between people without words.
There's no basic step, so it's easy to get started and have a great time your first night out.
Blues dance is a fun, a great way to meet new, cool friends, and enjoyable exercise.
Join an inclusive, accepting, and encouraging community.
Every week, we offer a beginner appropriate, all levels lesson from 7:30-8:30 pm with national level instructors.
From 8:30-11:00 pm, we have a social dance where you can dance with others to soulful music.
Admission is $5 for the lesson and $5 for the social dance.
Bring soft-soled shoes or socks for dancing in, and a water bottle is recommended.
The Democracy Center bathroom is not wheelchair accessible, though the restaurant next door has one that is.
Baked goods are provided.
