Enjoy a free drive-thru live nativity experience performed by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at their chapel in Hingham in December 12 from 5-7pmActors and even live animals are on tap this Saturday evening at an event hosted by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hingham.
Over the past few months, members of The Church have designed almost 60 costumes for the actors, and they have constructed scenes and several vignettes to tell the story of the birth of Jesus Christ – all in a drive-thru format.
Attendees will stay in the warmth and comfort of their vehicles as they drive through The Church's parking lot, which has been transformed into various stages for live actors and animals to present the story of the Nativity through four different scenes.
The event is free and open to the public. No reservations are required. As part of the evening’s theme of giving back to the community, members of The Church of Jesus Christ will also be accepting donations of canned and dry goods that evening.
All food collected will be donated to local food pantries.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is located at 379 Gardner Street in Hingham. The live drive-thru nativity will take place in the parking lot at their chapel on Saturday, December 12 from 5-7pm.
