See, play, and learn! This show is all about mechanical toys and how they work! When you explore one of the most fun collections at the museum you’ll find toys that walk, spin, bounce, and move in all sorts of unexpected ways… some even play music!

See toys in action on video, and play with hands-on versions in the gallery, while you learn *how* they work. You’ll also get your hands on large-scale levers, gears, pulleys, and springs that demonstrate the mechanical principles that make the toys go.

“Mechanical” comes from the Greek word that means “inventive and ingenious,” and this exhibit of hundreds of vintage, collectible toys, many of which still work perfectly, will not disappoint! Discover the fun *and* the science, technology, engineering, and math of mechanical toys!
