The Museum’s seasonal tradition continues with All Aboard! Trains at Science Park, our fun-for-all-ages temporary exhibit featuring classic winter landscapes and a hint of nostalgia.

Miniature trains, snow-covered peaks, engaging hands-on activities, and even a few surprises await!

Experience a whimsical setting where powered model trains at different scales run through various colorful scenes, complete with intricately created décor, buildings, and even people.

You can also check out smaller wooden train tables where you can lay your own tracks and engineer layouts—moving trains by hand and around curves.

Expert train model makers are on hand on select days—creating tiny trees, adjusting tracks—so you can ask questions and learn about the art and science behind model making. It’s a great way to welcome the winter season with your friends and family at the Museum of Science!

This exhibit is located in the Blue Wing, Level 2, and was made possible through a collaboration with the Hub Division, Inc., of the Northeast Region (NER) of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA).
