Marks of Distinction, the 4th Annual Juried Exhibition in soft pastel sponsored by the Central Mass Pastel Society, will be held at Fivesparks, 7 Fairbank St, Harvard, MA, from September 1-28, with a public reception on Saturday, Sep 10, 4-6 pm.

The show contains 73 works in a range of subjects and styles from artists from across the country, including many well-know Massachusetts and New England artists.

The work was selected by leading artists Liz Balkwill and Natasha Eisenhour, with awards judged by Katie Hanson, Curator of Painting of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Viewing contemporary soft pastels for the first time can be a revelation.

Come see for yourself, and if you must have a piece, all work is framed and ready to hang.

Hours are Tue-Thu, Noon-6; Fri, Noon-3; and Sat-Sun, Noon-4.

There is ample free parking on the street.
