Stay away
Hands down the most poorly planned event. The event started at 11:00am and we were in line by 11:45am. Standing in line, we start hearing that they may be at capacity and all cash paying customers may not be able to purchase tickets. No one from the event came down the line to confirm any of this. 12:00pm came along and now Staffers are saying they may not be able to sell any more tickets, but are not sure. Five minutes later they tell the front of the line that they can no longer sell tickets to cash paying customers, but fail to inform anyone else in the line. Extremely disappointed, we leave back to the car, and when we start drivings own the lot, all we see are children crying heading back to their car because they were turned away. When we finally make out to the entrance of the lot, the line was now at least 50 people deep and no staffers to inform anyone of what was happening. Cars kept driving into the lot with children hoping to attend this event. If they were not selling anymore tickets, why were they not informing all the people in line? Why did they not have someone proactively inform cars as they pulled into the lot? Due to the poor planning and poor team running this event, many of the children's hopes of having a fun day were ruined, and parents experienced frustration that could have been prevented. Mail a check instead
I would so much rather have been asked to mail a donation, rather than being led to believe we were going to a 'festival' and then spending an agonizing 45 minutes being baked alive in an asphalt parking lot with no shade. The lines for the bounce house stretched across the lot, as did those for ice cream. The Naked Smoothie booth had no line. So, without much delay, a remarkably sullen (considering she
at least was standing in the shade) booth attendee begrudgingly handed us a sip of smoothie. The only character we glimpsed was Clifford. Perhaps Peep and the rest had succumb to heat exhaustion. RELATED LINKS | ↑ top |
